Non-stop activity...

Either I had forgotten or it has changed since the boys were born, but I swear there was someone coming into our room every 10 minutes. Nurse, lab tech, cleaning person, another lab tech, food delivery, nurse, doctor, lab.... OMG how crazy it was.. And most of the time, Xena was getting poked and prodded at for one reason or another. Usually after she just got to sleep of course!

 

In between all this, Dad got back after getting a couple hours of sleep, food, taking care of the boys and Jake. And he was able to have a few quiet moments with his sleeping daughter.

Of course, at the time, he thought this was way too easy.. she sleeps all the time. What's all the fuss about.. And that baby next door that won't stop screaming it's head off??? What's up with that kid? We have the perfect kid.... Oh, did he learn....

Shortly after that the photographer came and took her newborn pictures which will be part of the next posting.. I was really amazed with the quality of the pictures compared to when the boys had this done.. but we'll talk about that later.

Our next visitor is actually Xena's first non-familial male crush, I think. Payam came bearing flowers and a sweet stuffed bear bigger than her. And yes, I made him take a picture with the pink bear too! :) I believe she was asleep again at the time, but I think it's clear he was just as smitten with her (and still is! hehehe..)

When school was out the boys were came and spent some time with us and were able to hold their sister for the first time as well. Both were a little hesitant, but as everyone else had been, just as enchanted with her.



Our little angel stole our hearts in less than 24 hours!
